To share its knowledge & expertise on the subject, recently a series of workshops were conducted at its Haldia branch on ‘ Road & Drivers safety’ for all Industry partners; the workshop was attended by Drivers, Supervisors & Independent fleet owners. The key message of the workshop was “Safety is gainful & Accident is Painful”, as 70 % of total Road Accidents happen on the highways; The Workshop encompassed the following points:
- Raising Driver’s awareness about main causes of Road Accidents such as Inattention, Excessive Speed, following too closely, Dangerous Overtaking and failure to give way
- Precautions to be taken during night driving
- Vehicle maintenance standards
- knowledge & Adherence to traffic rules & signals.
- Not to avoid safety gears
The participants found these programs valuable & felt an upgrade in their Safety skills & knowledge.
