JK Cement’s social initiative is aimed at inclusion of people with disabilities while promoting the Government’s ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’
Runs to be held in 5 cities – Kota, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Ajmer, and Jaipur
New Delhi, October 04, 2018: After two hugely successful editions of its social initiative, JK Cement Ltd, one of India’s leading cement manufacturers, today announced the third edition of JK Cement SwachhAbility Run. Starting October 7th, the run will cover 5 cities over a span of 5 days–starting from Kota across Udaipur, Ajmer and Jodhpur before closing in Jaipur on 14thOctober.
Continuing with its objective of supporting two significant social causes – inclusion of divyangs as equals in the society and Swachhta Drive, the unique run is being organized by JK Cement in Rajasthan this year.
The JK Cement SwachhAbility Run draws its inspiration from the spirit of selfless service, epitomized by The Indian Army and is the brainchild of Kargil War veteran, Major D P Singh – India’s first blade runner and a Limca Book of Records holder, who has more than 18 marathons to his credit.
The event includes two categories of runs – 5km and 3km. 5 km run which is a timed race, is open for all to participate, however in order to encourage more participation towards the cause, 3 km run will be done alongside especially for school children and for anyone else who wishes to run a shorter distance. After the run, the participants including the Divyangs, will clean a designated area as a part of the Swachhta Drive.

JK Cement SwachAbility Run has also partnered with non-profit organizations like ‘The Challenging Ones’ and ‘Flags of Honour’ to drive this initiative. JK Cement SwachhAbliity Run has taken the shape of a revolution over the last two years with participation of over 25000 people across 12 cities in the Country.
