New Delhi, 6th March 2018: Agriculture Skill Council of India (ASCI) has signed a MoU with Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi for conducting Agri skilling programs for IGNOU students.
This is the first collaboration between a SSC under the aegis of Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship with IGNOU which happens to be world’s largest Open University with 3 million students.
IGNOU would be conducting Agriculture related skill & assessment programs as per the National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF).
They will jointly develop skill development centers for training and capacity building across various segments of agriculture sector and conduct skill gap analysis for the agriculture & Agri-allied segment.
IGNOU would support ASCI in the development of curriculum and course content for various segments said Dr. Satender Arya, CEO ASCI.
