Sumiran’s debut song impressed popular playback singers Sonu Nigam and Papon, and famous Indian actors Nana Patekar and R. Madhavan

New Delhi, October 1, 2018: Zee Music Company has recently released its latest music video – ‘MORE SAIYAAN’, composed by Vaibhav Saxena and his band ‘Sumiran’, comprising Gunjan Jha and Sanjay Upadhyay. Taking forward his music aspirations into the Indian music industry, Saxena and his band have already won many hearts across India. The lead vocalist, Sanjay Upadhyay has sung it remarkably and the song has already garnered phenomenal responses in the first week of release from noted Indian film director Mansoor Khan, popular playback singers Sonu Nigam and Papon, and many other famous Indian actors such as Nana Patekar and R. Madhavan, among others.

‘MORE SAIYAAN’ is a perfect mix of Indian classical and contemporary jazz, featuring an Indian television actress and model Shivani Tomar. What makes the song unique is its music, which feels completely live, but is produced entirely on computer, except the singer’s voice which is recorded live. The lyrics are written in Hindi and Avadhi by Vaibhav Saxena, Gunjan Jha, and Sanjay Upadhyay.

The music video depicts the feelings of a lonely girl who longs for her lover after he is gone away. The artists have captured all the feelings of the lost love, care and romance, giving a nostalgic feel to the listener. The second layer of the video has beautifully shown how even the singer and musicians feel the pain of the girl in their performance.

Vaibhav Saxena, Music Director, Composer, and Lyricist said, “Being an engineer with a heart for music, I always try to bring technology and melody together, and create a unique experience for my listeners. In my association with T-Series, I have composed two songs in crossover genre where I fused few of my English songs with Hindi and Punjabi. And now, I am planning to introduce a new genre of dance music in partnership with veteran Punjabi Pop singer, Ashok Mastie.”

Saxena takes inspiration from the music of different regions. He has worked upon and introduced a meditative brainwave sound technology which gives instant relaxation to the listener. In his musical journey, he has worked with popular ghazal singer Pankaj Udhas, noted Indian singer and composer Shankar Mahadevan, international music producer R3HAB, among others. A few of his brilliant works include Delhi Metro’s official song, marking 10 years of its operation (song: Zindagi hai Delhi metro), official anthem for INCOME TAX DEPT Govt. of India ‘Badha Kadam’ which broadcasted on radio, TV, and cinema. Saxena has also written jingles and composed music for TVCs for a national political party AAP and global brands such as Suzuki, Pepsi, Patanjali, Lloyds, Sahara, Amul, Indian Oil, Ranbaxy, IndusInd bank and many more.
