OPPO Unveils the Find N5: Thinnest Foldable Smartphone Yet Breaks New Ground

OPPO has once again pushed the boundaries of smartphone design with the introduction of the Find N5, claiming the title as the world's thinnest foldable smartphone. The Find N5 stands out with its ultra-slim profile, measuring a mere 3.7mm thick when fully unfolded. This impressive feat makes it the second smartphone ever to break the 4mm barrier, following closely behind the Mate XT Ultimate tri-fold.
The sleek design of the Find N5 has been showcased with recent photos shared by OPPO's Find N series product manager, Zhou Bao. These images highlight the device's remarkably slim form factor, featuring a profile that's even slimmer than a typical USB-C port. To bring its thinness into perspective, the Find N5 is comparable to everyday items such as stacking two coins or placing four debit cards together.
But the Find N5 is not just about looks. It's powered by the formidable Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, model number PKH110, assuring users of top-notch performance. The device has already made its presence felt in the tech community, appearing on Geekbench with impressive scores that affirm its flagship status.
Another standout feature is the Hasselblad camera system, meticulously integrated into the smartphone's design. This system includes three lenses and an LED flash, all cleverly arranged on a circular island, enhancing both aesthetics and functionality.
While the Find N5 has initially been launched in China, its global journey is just beginning. It's poised to capture international markets under the new name of the OnePlus Open 2. Rumors suggest that this rebranded model might make an appearance at the upcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona scheduled for early March. This event could serve as the perfect platform to showcase what might be the future of foldable smartphones.
